don't mind the matter

Spoilers ahead. If you haven’t seen “Donnie Darko” proceed with caution.

So, I watched the director’s cut of “Donnie Darko” today, and I have to say that it was awesome. There was a lot of added details and background information, as well as character development that definitely cleaned up some of the confusion in this movie. Explained and clarified certain actions and scenes that before seemed rushed or premature. For example, the flooding of the school. What purpose did it serve? I used to think just to cause chaos. But now…

I mean, really, I can only think of maybe one scene or two where the extended versions are “Meh. I can see why it was cut.”
